Looking for advice on my first experience at a gay bar.

A little bit of history on me:I've been closet bisexual for 14 years now. I've had 2 sexual encounters with other men and am in a place where I would like explore that more. This post is actually my only omission of this fact about myself to anyone, other than those two men. I'm thinking it's time I finally check out one of my city's many gay bars.Is this a poor first choice of trying to find a potential partner or does anyone have any tips/advice/stories on putting themselves out there under similar circumstances?
