Meeting guys in person

Hi everyone, I've recently met this guy online and we plan to meet in person some day. It's just that I'm not sure how to go about it since I still live with my parents. I'm 17 and he's 18, but he lives in a different state. What would be some good advice for meeting him in person? We already plan on skyping soon.
