Just moved!

So I just moved to San Diego two days ago and already I can feel how different it is out here! Not in a bad way but just different. What I have discovered in my short two days is people here are this strange mixture of polite and dismissive (and you would think me being from the south I would be use to that!)I guess what this post is is essentially a question. Where would be a good place to go? What should I do? From what I have seen doing things here alone is taboo (you should see the side glances I get form people at this Starbucks!). Any help would be awesome guys. Stay class and keep laughing!!!
