Someone mentioned the word "beard" the other day and EVERYTHING made sense. They want the appearance of a normal healthy relationship from the outside. Inside they would always choose porn over their partner. The same way it was once frowned upon to be gay, no "normal" guy would choose porn over sex. So they try to be normal. They hide that part of themselves. They need you because you help hide their secret. You can't have an open relationship because they might be found out.
