I'm straight, and I've fallen in love with a gay guy I met online. But now we're having problems

Hi guysI've been talking to this guy I met online for about 2 months now everything was great until something came up that made me slightly unsecured "height" ( even though he said it was ok ) I kinda started being a little needy. And when I noticed that I told him I need to take some time off texting ( he was all for it 😅 ). A week after he tried to contact me twice and he was overly excited to talk to me on the phone. Things went well for A while "the L word wad exchanged" until I started feeling he is being cold. Talked to him about it. He told me I had nothing to worry about. Then two days after I just couldn't keep my self from bringing it up again ( more aggressively) . He replied that he is going to call me after 5 min to discuss it two hours went by without a call. I texted him saying that I was disappointed that he ignored me like that.I'm kinda regretting all of that right now. It has been 24 hours since.
