I just found out that my crush has a girlfriend

I thought he was into me because of they way he acted around me. He nodded and smiled at me everyday. Today he tried getting really close to me and I was thinking that he wanted to see how I reacted to it. Then he backed off and continued to smile at me. At lunch I saw him hug his girlfriend so I’m not sure if he has feelings for me. He could be bi but I’m not sure.
