Children in gay families:

This is purely hypothetical but has always been a hope of mine. I’m sure many of us have had those annoying Hetero dreams of living in a “picture perfect” family with a white picket fence. Interestingly, in these dreams I tend to take the mother’s role. I would like to have kids one day, and as a gay man I would use alternative methods to get children. Is it weird that I want to be a mom? Not in the literal sense, but I’d like my kids to think of me as their mom. I’m just wondering if there would be any negative aspects for my future children to live in that kind of family unit? What are your thoughts?
