Friend said he found my homosexuality amusing. Joke or no?

For context I called him a homophobe , which he then he replied if hes homophobic he wouldn't be friends with me. Fast forward to now Im very confused if he's just joking around (I do act kinda gay sometimes but not intentionally) or he actually thinks that. Im still closeted so Im just acting as if he meant it as a joke, and he doesnt probe so its just hanging there like. (additionally he thinks im a furry but im not so it may just be his bad judgement)
