For those who realized they were gay during their 20s, did you turn off guys saying you were into girls?

I'm genuinely curious about the amount of guys here that couldnt assume or didnt realize they were gay or bi until they were in their 20s and that turned off guys in the meanwhile. If so, did you consider yourself only straight at that time or do you "regret" having turned off interested guys or not been able to tell then how you felt at that time (if you were confused or whatever)?
