Am I friends with this person?

OK, so I met this girl on the internet through a facebook group. She seeked me out and started writing me things. She seemed really overly friendly which was nice so then I spoke with her on instagram which she didnt follow me back on but then spoke to me obsessively on like she was my best friend and guranteed that we were friends. I found a blog of hers where she mentioned that she is a master at manipulating people, and I felt like I might have been someone who could have been manipulated with because she acted like my best friend even though I barley knew her yet did passive things like not follow back on instagram, and to everyone else in the facebook group she wrote clingy overly nice things. Should I try to become friends with this person in real life or are they a classic manipulator/scam?
