Should I Just Dive In?

Hey guy's, so I'm 26 and I'm still a virgin. I know I'm gay and have for a while now but something seems to be holding me back from actually proceeding with a guy and I don't know exactly what it is. I've talked to many of guys before but it never seems to get passed that. I either stop chatting or the conversation goes dry. There was one time where I did meet up with a guy and he did wanna have sex but I told him no and we ended up just awkwardly watching the purge 2 at his place..... My question is, has anyone had this problem of just feeling like you can't? I'm constantly battling with myself because I don't want to just do it with anyone and regret it, but I also want to experience it and finally be able to see losing your virginity isn't that big of a deal. I made a video about coming out but that's not really the same thing at all.Thanks and Happy New Year!
