Inlove with my straight friend

I'm 17 years old and male and accept that i am Bi-sexual but have only told two of my best trustworthy friends. Fallen inlove with another 17 year old guy who i suspect of being gay but don't have the balls to outright ask him or tell him i'm gay.He claims to be straight but he literally kisses me on the cheek goodbye everytime. I know i should rip the bandaid off and ask him instead of me torturing myself, but i want to hang on to the small chance he's gay. Please offer advice. Update i think i accidentally came out to him on snap chat (Narcotics involved) and he said "Soooo that would mean you're gay" " are you coming out" yes you are coming out" haven't answered since. Shaking
