How do I approach a relationship or hook up with my best friend when we both just came out to each other?

So me and my friend both 19 found each other on grindr a couple days ago. Btw this is like a super close family friend I've had for years. We both totally open up about our sexuality. I'm bi and he's pretty sure he's gay and I admit I've been into him for the last year or two. He says he doesn't really think he could be into me but says he needs time to think because he's overwhelmed which I get.How should I approach this? We're both in college and don't see each other often but i really want to experiment with him because I've never done stuff with a guy and feel comfortable with him. Any advice?
