Being the gay token

So I fit the stereotype of a gay guy where I'm feminine, petite, and a little sassy sometimes. That's just a part of personality and physique though. It pisses me off when people see that I fit the stereotype and then only pinpoint that one facet of me: being gay. I have so many more facets of my personality and even if all of my friends know I have more to offer, they still just see me as the "gay guy". I've literally had friends introduce me to people like "this is Elijah, he's gay". It drives me nuts. But at the same time, I want to own my sexuality and I'm not afraid to flaunt it and be a little extra (with a finger snap). I just hate being treated like a commodity./rant
