Help me find out if he likes me

Aight look. Ive been talking to this guy for awhile, i swear something about him just made the radar go off but i cant really tell if hes straight or not. i knew him from school and we would talk sometimes. Recently ive been able to finesse the snapchat and ive been talking to him, Not a lot but you know something like "wyd" or similar, Today i tested the waters and called him cute while asking how his day was and he responded with how his day was and didnt say anything about me calling him cute. Now im convinced i have a chance cause im pretty sure if he was straight he wouldve said something lmao. What should i do yall got advice?
