Im skeptical of the polls claiming majority support for gay marriage nationwide....
Polls ALWAYS overestimate gay marriage support. Just look at prop 8 in California. The numbers still dont add up. Only 4 states were proven victories (Maine, Maryland, Washington and Minnesota on 2012) and theyre deep blue states which won by tiny margins. The rest of the time when gay marriage was put to a vote, they lost big. Heres my estimate of the real support state by state.Alabama 25%Alaska 47%Arizona 45%Arkansas 31%California 57%Colorado 52%Connecticut 58%Delaware 55%Florida 45%Georgia 32%Hawaii 57%Idaho 35%Illinois 51%Indiana 39%Iowa 48%Kansas 34%Kentucky 28%Louisiana 32%Maine 56%Maryland 54%Massachusetts 65%Michigan 49%Minnesota 54%Mississippi 22%Missouri 37%Montana 38%Nebraska 40%Nevada 52%New Hampshire 61%New Jersey 56%New Mexico 47%New York 59%North Carolina 43%North Dakota 32%Ohio 45%Oklahoma 30%Oregon 55%Pennsylvania 49%Rhode Island 60%South Carolina 29%South Dakota 33%Tennessee 26%Texas 36%Utah 34%Vermont 70%Virginia 48%Washington 56%West Virginia 24%Wisconsin 50%Wyoming 33%DC 54%
