Help me Get Over the Chasing Cycle

Hello guys. I'm a 28 yr old dude from Asia. Last month I was into a gay dating app and I chatted with this guy and we ended up dating. At first he was very eager to me and tells me how hot I am (I'm a bodybuilder and part-time model), texts me every day and night. I on the other hand felt like this was already my chance to have a good partner so I welcomed his advances. The following weeks after our second date, he seldom texts me anymore, and later I found out that I'm already initiating the conversation and now I thing I'm already chasing him. What's your take on this guys? What have I done wrong that made him suddenly grow cold? Thank you for your honest replies.
