Looking for an advice

This is my first post here, I am 16 and barely know anything about relationships.I like one guy from my school, and he is definitely into me (he is always giving me some kind of signs) As I understand, he wants to be the leader(or whatever it is called) in our "relationship" but he doesn't make a move. Maybe he is not sure that I like him? Should I just ask him to go with me to the cinema? And won't I screw everything up? Maybe it's stupid but still I'd like to hear someone else's opinion and get some advices based on one's own experience.
