I can't get it！

my roommate is homophbic,he over and over told me how he dislikes gay people. but he is really into a drag queen , like crazily,every time mentioning about him,he gets super excited .and though he looks 100% like a charming girl, that is a guy,after all.somtimes my roommate even jokes like:gosh,he is so pretty,I really wanna f**k him! and he denies that he likes guys and claim he is absolutely straight. is this strange,what do you think?
