I'm feeling that total bottoming is shameful

Well as the title suggests I feel that. When guys hit me on Grindr and say they are total tops I'm instantly turned off. Some people associate gay relationships with straight ones, thus degrading in some way the bottoms as more feminine. I could be biased, I don't know what is right and what is wrong in that case.
