What if I'm his first same-sex interest? How do i pursue him?

I've been hanging out with this 30 year old because of school. We get along really well and he's always talking to me about himself and his experiences. I make him laugh. We never get bored of each other, really.He hasn't made a move. He shows all the signs of liking me but hasn't made a move, I think I should wait for him, but then I ask...what if I'm his first guy? He dated a girl from 16 to 28. He's 30 now, still single. There's so much that's in sync between us despite our age difference (21 vs 30). So I want things to keep going forward, But do I keep going with the flow? I asked him to the movies once, then he started asking if i was at school before our class. I think we got sick of each other just before Spring Break haha. But we have plans to meet up over break for a project.If I'm his first same-sex interest, what can I do to push forward the gay agenda?
