So sick of being shamed for liking masculine guys

I'm a highschooler and so far my experience with the gay community is very negative. I've been out for 4 years and I decided to go to a lgbt youth center, one of the gay teens asked me what type of guys im into and I said guys who are athletic, funny, and masculine. The guy and a couple of his friends took turns yelling at me about how this means I'm self hating and mysoginistic. I looked online and found out his point of view is very common and I've had it I came out to be able to date who I want but turns out the gay community is just as bad as the straight one
