How to pursuit a gay guy? Or should I continue when I know he is not that into me?

We hang out a couple times in the past few month, I told him I like him, twice, he only said okay once. One time said nothing. I don't see he is much interested in me but still replies my messages even usually it days later. Before him, I'm the too proud one to ask others out, but this time I feel I'm the one don't have much leverage in hand. It doesn't feel so good, the worse part is I kept thinking about him all the time, it sucks.
