told a friend that i'm a bisexual

I live in Russia. It's a scary place to be a gay. So, I hang out with one guy. He is totally straight. I haven't any emotions to him. We was going to be good friends. Several days ago told him that i'm a bisexual. Since then we kind of lost connection and it's seems that he's ignoring me. After that I have this strange feeling that I should be ashamed of myself. Cause I screwed up a good friendship. I feel that it's my fault. Feeling shit right now.
