[serious] When did you first know you were not heterosexual? When did you come out, if not why not?

I knew when I was a little boy. In grade school I had a crush on the boy who always stuck my thumb down in seven up. I tried to come out to my parents in high school, my step dad was a pastor... they called me a Fagot. They read my yahoo answers page and beat the shit out of me. I finally came out when gay marriage was legalized, of course, with a click of a button on Facebook. The rest is history!
