When did you know and accept that you were gay
For me personally I think I knew something was different at around the age of 6, although at 6 you don't know something of that level. But nonetheless I still found guys to be cute. Growing up I continued to be attracted to other men but I never accepted it to be anything more than curiosity, and I tried to like girls. Around the age of 13 was when I started to experiment with porn and gay porn was way more enjoyable than straight or lesbian. Still I didn't accept it. I was raised in a religious household and was taught being gay was a sin, so I planned on being straight. I fell in love with a girl for about 2 years, although we weren't technically dating because we wanted to wait a little bit and get situated first, but we both loved each other. Thought I had found the girl who was going to save me from being gay. However on December 8th of last year, at the age of 19, I came out to my parents as gay. Prior to this I never had accepted it, but over the few days before coming out I realized that I was gay and there was no changing that. But because of religious reasons I still was going to try to hang on to the love I had for this girl, but soon realized that that would be unfair to both of us. Finally in march of this year, I accepted myself fully and am looking forward to moving out and being able to enjoy my life as an openly gay man.So what's your story? I'd love to hear how things went for other people
