Waxing your butt before a big night - how soon is too soon?

I'm flying out to visit a potential love interest next weekend, and we will probably be having sex. I'm a bottom, and I usually shave my butt, although I haven't in a while. I thought I'd take the upcoming trip as an opportunity to get my buttcheeks and hole waxed for the first time so I can be silky smooth. For the record, I'm Italian so I'm somewhat hairy but not extremely.My question is: -if I will be spending next saturday night with him, when is the optimal time to get waxed? I don't want to do it too early and risk having ingrown hairs or bumps, but don't want to risk doing it the night before and having sore, raw skin when we meet. Are ingrown hairs and bumps even a thing when you get your butt waxed though? Any precautions I should take or anything I should do to avoid having rawness or ingrown hairs/bumps? Thanks!
