Good Morning Reddit! A Little About Me

So over the last few weeks and months I'd been talking to some friends about finally starting a journal blog, but really wasn't sure which platform to put it on since there are so many. Do I go with Wordpress or Nibblebit, Reddit or Tumblr, or do I get a better smart phone and make a ChatStory. So after doing some exploring on Reddit, I decided that this is the way that I would go.The plan of this is to share my life experiences and knowledge to the next generation of gay young men out there. And I figured it would be a cool way to compare to those who are around my age as well. So here it goes: A Little About Me.I am currently a 46 years old gay man living in SouthWest Wisconsin. Sad part is I am only about a good two and a half hours south from where I spent the first 18 years of my life near the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. It was family that brought me back about four years ago, but never in my dreams did I think I would be moving back to this area. I waited so long to leave, and there wasn't enough time before I moved back.I have known I was gay since I was 12 (story coming), and looking back had the gay flame sparkling when I was 7 or 8. I grew up in a single parent (mother) home until my mom remarried when I was 12, and after I knew I liked boys.My step-father found out I was gay and confronted me about it in what I'm sure is one of the most horrible ways that I've ever heard about during the summer I was 14 (story coming). By this time I had already explored sex with other boys and enjoyed what I found. I would say that this led my life to be a little more sexual than most of the people that I would meet in the future.I had my first experience with an older man when I was 15. Quite honestly, a couple of older men taught me more about sex (straight, gay, and bi) more than any sex education class I had in school, which wasn't until I was 16 and only lasted one semester in a class where everyone was embarrassed to look at the pictures.I may have grown up in a pretty small town, but thank you that the cities were only about an hour way. Way before the time that parents could track their kids with cell phones and car monitors I was doing things that they would still freak out about if they found out today. I read a stat lately that says that a person on average has sex about 5,800 times during their life. From the time I first experimented with sex, through the summer that I graduated high school, I was probably 25% of the way there already! lolI spent a few years after graduated serving the great United States in the Air Force at three different stations in Alaska, New Mexico, and California. I bounced around for a while after that before landing a job in finance in Oregon, and lived there until I came here.I don't mind sharing all that since if I had a Facebook (which I don't) that is mostly the information you would find on the front page if I filled out my profile in its entirety. Now I get to expand on this little journal and hopefully get some comments along the way.So Be It!
