Gay positive romance in history/pop culture?

I'm writing an article on gay romance and trying to find examples of gay-positive romance either in pop-culture or history.I've been looking at the more sex-oriented side of homosexuality for a long time, and have noticed both from talking to people and reading articles that there aren't a lot of examples of romance (both in popular culture and in real life) that are aspirational.Does anyone know of people either real or in pop culture that are great examples of romance?
