Gay men of Reddit I have a question that has nothing to do with me really. Well kinda

I hope this is the right place to ask my question. Yesterday at the dentist there was a gay guy dental assistant that was going through the routine of taking my invisalign before and after pics. Well there is this tool that the dentists use with your help that holds your mouth open while they take pics of your teeth. They are little plastic hook like things that you pull on both sides and then your upper lip and bottom lip. So the dental assistant tells me "Ok now pull down your bottoms" then instantly corrected himself and said "I'm sorry pull down your bottom lip." Do you think this was on accident or on purpose to attempt to get a reaction out of me? My wife always tells me dont flatter yourself not every gay man wants every man out there. I just thought this was an odd "mistake" to make. What do you think?
