Experience with sudden loss of interest?

Hey guys,Little advice would be great. Been seeing someone for a few weeks now, been on 5/6 dates, stayed over at his house a couple times, fooled around in bed. Not met either of our friends.He was super keen at first, texting me on his way to work and asking about my day. We only saw one another about once a week but I was cool with it because we kept in touch all the time.He left to go away for a week or so a few days ago to his hometown, and now I just feel like he's lost interest all of a sudden? Texts have dropped to one or so a day, with no asking how I am or how I'm doing. I text him yesterday and he's not messaged back. We have one another on Facebook so I know he's active on there and so we can safely assume he is ignoring/shelving my texts.What do you think? Spoke to a friend who said that it was weird he seemed to be ignoring me, but that it could just be that he's away and is busy.I don't know. I've experienced this one too many times with guys just losing interest in me so I've become quite jaded to it now. I just need to know what to do because it's making me so ridiculously anxious. I really like this guy and was so excited about this, but it just feels like he's lost interest since going away.Any advice would be appreciated.
