Well, shit. My newest short story has jumped over 8,000 pages.

Unsure what to do here. I figured it would jump past 6,000 a few hours earlier into it, but now that I've checked the word count again, I'm sitting at over 8,000 words. I haven't even written a title.

Worse, I haven't even written the sex scene. I'm about at it now, but wow. This thing could easily, EASILY cross 10,000 words before padding, and I've come to you for help on this;

Should I continue to work and publish it as a Not-so-Short story?

Or should I break it up into two smaller stories?

My goal of course is to maximize sales, so I'm not opposed to either, I do have a few concerns though, 1. There is a place I could split it, but it would feel kind of cheap. There's a masturbation scene and a sex scene with the wife, but it's a straight-gay story, and I think it would kind of feel like a story cut in half, honestly.

1. It's actually a bit more drama and romance than Erotica, however the sex stuff is pretty explicit, confused as what to do about this as well.
