Season 1 was great, really great, but I don't feel like starting the second one with these doubts floating around my mind. If the questions I ask lead to later seasons spoilers, please don't tell me the spoilers just say "you'll see in season x" :)
A FULL WALL OF TEXT WITH SPOILER FOR SEASON 1 LIES BELOW!
So Brody was convinced he had beaten Walker to death, but with Aileen it turns out he didn't actually kill him but some other guy. So he goes into the gay diplomat's house and beats him up a little, complaining about the fact Nazir made him beat the living shit out of someone else. Okay so first question: Why did Nazir make Brody kill some dude he said was Walker? What's the sense?
And later, strangely enough, we find out they are actually working together, despite no scenes of the two of them meeting or communicating in any way. Indeed, in the finale Walker misses the vicepresident Walden and hits that other person Elizabeth Gaines on purpose, so that everyone can get sealed up in a bunker where, as Walker knows, will be the whole drone strike team with Brody wearing a kamikaze vest.
Another proof of them working together is Brody's video, which he hid under a rock and marked it with yellow chalk. In the finale we see the microSD gone and another chalk line drawn next to the first, presumably by Walker, who got the video and somehow arranged a meeting with Brody. So question number two: How the heck are these two working together? Brody found out about Walker working with Nazir and next thing you know they are working in tandem.
Which leads me to question number 3. What were the motives of Walker? Sure, Brody is determined to kill Walden because Issa was killed in the drone strike he is responsible for, but Walker?
