Post in question:
Oh boy, this is going to be a shitstorm. I thought I had seen a couple of top posts about actual rape on reddit recently, so of course now it's time to jolt redditors back in to reality that women are actually evil, lying whores and real rape is practically an ant compared to the problem of false rape accusations.
The top comment triggers a chain of false rape anecdotal stories the shittiest one is:
The thing that's shocking is that outside observers to this phenomenon continue to misrepresent it. There are generally two groups on this, the ones who say "the lying woman" is a myth and have created a myth of their own, "the woman who never lies", and those who say it happens, but it's rare, and that women have never become rich or famous because of lying about rape so we should never assume a motive to lie about rape. Both of these sentiments are patently false. False accusations about sexual assault/rape are VERY common, and women HAVE become wealthy by lying about rape ($750,000 in this case: http://ift.tt/1p8f0KK) But even that's not the point. The motivation to lie about rape doesn't need a monetary value to be a reality. An accusation of rape is an incredibly powerful thing. It can turn shame into bravery. It can turn the neglected into the coddled. It can turn the powerless into the powerful. In our legitimate and good-will effort to empower women who have been legitimately victimized, we created a weapon so powerful that its very use proved the appropriateness of its use. The rape accusation is so powerful that even people who have been completely exonerated are sometimes left with a greater stigma than those who have been proved to have falsely accused people of rape. 381 points, gilded
No stats to back of those claims of false rape being VERY common eh? Seems a bit hypocritical considering how redditors tear people apart for apparently over representing real rape with statistics.
Found this one too, the score is hidden although it's circlejerky as fuck and plain disrespectful.
Women do this to get attention. As a gay man not interested in women, I see this behavior for what it is and it's disgusting. Sorry for you, bro. [score hidden]
Boys club! Women, amirite?
saw this happen to a dude in college, luckily the girls sorority sisters had had enough and after teh 4th guy they came foward and told the police she was having consentual sex and regretting it, and instead of owning up to it, she was saying she was raped. 328 points
This, among the many, serve as the fuel to this shitty fire.
Second highest comment:
Good job including a picture of the victim but not the perpetrators. Oh and lets use his full name but only initials of the accusors. 731 points
Yes, it would be much better to include photos and full names of the accusers. It's not like reddit would start a witch hunt or anything
Third highest. This one isn't so bad, but it's the ones that follow that are the real shit stain:
These woman have done damage to every woman who has really been raped. I'd like to see some women raise awareness about this, it's hurting the case of abused woman. 314 points
They just outright deny that false accusations exist. 123 points
Yep. When I sugested that false rape accusations exist on /r/TwoXChromosomes all I got were downvotes and a claim that it doesn't exist. Typical women. http://ift.tt/1IchKzL 26 points
The fact this is on even 26 points despite saying something like 'typical women' astounds me. Is reddit really this deep into hating women sentiment? Oh and you have to hate feminists too, that's just a given.
On to the next one...
When are we going to teach women not to lie about rape? 256 points
Oh very funny, twisting this around to make it seem as though false rape is in epidemic proportions so we need to implement programs like real rape? Yes I know this comment was supposed to be satirical but somehow I think the mindset behind it is another 'false rape more problem than real rape grrr'
Fuck double standards. I bet none of these cunts will ever be locked up for colluding. They fucked this kids life up and will se no punishment what so ever. 175 points
Use of an extremely derogatory word for circlejerk purposes.
Last one, probably one of worst ones:
This is why I reserve judgement on Bill Cosby. People like to think multiple accusations are a smoking gun, but lying accusers also know this is the reaction most people will have. 134 points
Never mind that he was accused years before any of the recent ones. No one listened then. Now that there are more, the case is actually gaining traction. But nah, women are liars.
I'll finish here. Making this post just about gave me an aneurysm by having to go through these comments.
