Not sure if new friend is gay and into me

I've been hanging out with a guy I met at my friend's college, mostly chilling and playing 2k together. I was blacked out when I met him the first time but i guess we exchanged numbers and agreed to hang out. He seems kind of into me but he doesn't know im gay and idk if he is himself. He's touchy feely but when i asked him if he had a gf he just said no and left it there. Last time he came over i noticed he was wearing a thong? I only saw it for like half a sec cause he bent down but was wearing regular sweatpants over it. I didn't say anything. Just wondering if maybe I should ask
