Did any of you guys read/hear about something that made you want to come out?

I've been rather curious about the motivators behind a lot of you guys coming out.After being in the closet since I was 12-13 (I'm 21 now), I'm thinking of coming out to my mom. I had an experience reading something last night that utterly destroyed me, spurring this need to do so. I'm not sure if I'm ready, so I might weasel myself out of it, but I wanted to post this as some sort of anchor for myself.(NSFW) The links to the comic in the comments here are what I have read. I will warn you, it is a comic about coming to terms with sexuality, learning about love, and all that jazz, but it is also a gay furry comic. As a result, there is gay furry sex, though not a whole lot of it. This destroyed me emotionally (in a good way!) and got me thinking, crying, and pondering about my future. I just wanted to warn you guys about the furry aspect should you decide you want to read what I did.
