Straight Guy Crush Sleeping in my bed (more so rant)

So i has this friend, who does know im gay and does know i have a massive crush on him, he oftens comes over and says now these days he getting more comfortable about me being gay, and since i have this massive crush on him i do let him sleep in my bed.. and here the thing, he has always been self conscious around me.. but today he decided to take his shirt off, and he would never do this in the past. so now he is sleeping in my bed, almost naked, very short shorts and underwear only ,, and im just having some mixed feelings like i dont understand what is going on, but in the span of like 2 days hes gone from pretty much despising me, to taking his shirt off and being like best friends. And he is staying over 2 nights, again something he would never do, becuase he would try and get away from me every chance he gets, but is this the more comfortable with me being gay and something else, i dont have any clue what is actually going on.
