Should I seize the opportunity?

Alright, this might be a doozy.Let's backtrack to last summer. I was 16, and met this guy on Hot or Not. We talked for a while, and one night he told me about another guy he was talking to that lived super close to me (we weren't dating or anything, so it didn't bother me). He was incredibly cute, but I never actually sent him a message. I'm still in the closet, and I was afraid that someone would find out and spread it (small town, stuff spreads quick).Earlier this year, I was helping out with a district wide presentation, and I saw him. His face didn't register with me until it was too late. I beat myself up for not introducing myself or just saying hi.I graduated from high school last night, and our county does a little party for the two high schools afterwards, and, you guessed it, I saw him again. We passed each other when my brain went "Dude, that's him!" and I saw him make the same sort of look at me. I basically forgot about the party because I was so focused on him. We exchanged glances a lot, and when we made eye contact, I always tried to smile and look inviting. Sadly, I didn't have the balls to go up to him.I still remember his Kik username, and I really want to send him a message. So here's my question: Should I send a message to him and just go with whatever happens, or leave it be? He's going to a college in a different state than I am, so there's a possibility I'll never see him again.
