Hi guys! Anyone lesbian, gay or bisexual here have a straight identical twin, or vice versa? Do the two of you feel like participating in an anonymous survey on LGB well-being?
I'm a PhD candidate and researcher at King's College London and I'm recruiting identical twins for an anonymous online survey study. It's on sexual orientation and well-being and I need pairs of identical twins in which one identifies as Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual and the other identifies as straight. It should take no longer than 30 minutes to fill out, if anybody would like to take part. Here's a bit of a formal explanation of it if you'd like more information:"We are looking for identical twins where one in the pair is gay/lesbian/bisexual and other is heterosexual/straight aged 16+ years, for a study on sexuality and well-being. The study will involve one online survey (which includes questions which ask about your sexuality and experiences of prejudice). You will be asked to complete questionnaires about your gender, sexual feelings, childhood behaviour, experiences of discrimination and prejudice, how you think, how you feel, and your thoughts about your identity. Overall, this study should last no longer than thirty minutes. The study is approved by King’s College London Psychiatry, Nursing and Midwifery Research Ethics Subcommittee (reference PNM/13/14-110). For more details please contact Liam Timmins (liam.timmins@kcl.ac.uk). You can sign up to take part or access a copy of the information sheet for this study by either emailing directly, or using the following link:http://ift.tt/1KWUYgB"Thanks so much to anyone who takes part! I actually posted here before about a related, previous study that I'm still working on analysing the data from and I got a huge response from the different Reddit gender and sexual minority communities, so thanks so much to everyone for that!
